Socio-Economic Life

NOT based on a true story

The teacher addressed the classroom.

“Help me out guys.  I’m confused about something.”

The students were only half-interested.  Some were on their headphones.  Some were staring blankly.

“I just want to know why I’m not rich. Any thoughts?”

A student responded “You are a teacher.”

Teacher: But I’m still confused.  I thought I would be rich by now.  I mean look at me, I’m white.  I am good looking.  My name is simple.  I had good grades.  I went to a University.  I am a white male!  Why is the world not bowing down to me?

Student: Hey Biscuit!  That is kind of offensive.

Other Student: We know white men run the world.

Other Other Student: Yeah but just because Biscuit is white doesn’t mean he gets rich instantly.

Teacher (Biscuit):  But class I am a White Male … … The world should be at my feet … Why am I not a billionaire?   I mean, Donald Trump is a white male and so is Mark Cuban HE is White and Warren Buffett is White!   I just don’t get it, Why is Biscuit not rich?

Student: Do we have a meritocracy?

… … … … …

Learning After School

Once a smart person finishes school they are out of school.

BUT LEARNING SHOULD NOT STOP THERE!

An intelligent person who seeks wisdom should pursue LIFELONG LEARNING!

DJ Robo Biscuit has been using some of his free time to learn.

Rick Roderick is a beautiful source for philosophy.

SCHOOL OF LIFE is an excellent resource on YouTube for learning.

There is also “EDx” which provides free courses, such as Intro to Computer Science offered by Harvard (THE HARVARD) and it is totally FREE!   (Just like Good Will Hunting, get that free education Dawg!)

ASK QUESTIONS!    WHY IS THIS LIKE THIS?!?!

But DJ ROBO BISCUIT has also noticed that some philosophers seem to die early or commit suicide … … perhaps they analyzed up to the point where life was meaningless (just an idea).

DJ Robo Biscuit also recently learned about “The Frankfurt School” which was popular for big sociological ideas back in the 1960’s with Adorno and Marcuse.

Continue to learn!

Love,  DJ ROBO BISCUIT (Keep it fresh and fluffy)

Philosophy and Sociology

In order to learn more on these potentially hazardous topics I have found that “School of Life” on YouTube is an excellent resource

SCHOOL OF LIFE

Especially interesting is Baruch Spinoza

Also, the video on Leo Tolstoy is very good

Also, History of Ideas – Failure is very nice too.

I must recommend the sociology of Emile Durkheim and Alexis De Tocqueiville

A look into “Critical Theory” well be interesting for anyone who wants to use their knowledge of the Humanities to understand the happenings of society.

Learning Philosophy

Philosophy can be daunting.

It can be a difficult subject.  Much time within the abstract.

A great source to learn Philosophy is RICK RODERICK!  He was a towering man and he is currently dead.

He is a strong man with a powerful voice.  He became famous through his lectures with the THE TEACHING COMPANY!

If you need someone to explain various philosophies to you, Rick Roderick is a great start.
