Competing Review: JOY (Jennifer Lawrence)

Joy was an excellent film.

What it truly does highlight is how the VERY ambitious JOY must struggle against her own family and her own “circle” in order to become successful.

Joy is almost a representation of ATLAS SHRUGGED by Ayn Rand.   They key character – Joy – is a powerhouse.  Her mind is full of ideas and entrepreneurial spirit.   However, she has been burdened with a family of parasites who drain her.

As the movie is occurring, one truly does fell sympathy and support for JOY because there are so many forces working against her and she can not seem to get a positive break!

I would recommend the movie to anyone who has ever had an idea about making a business or people who like to support others who are in a troubling situation.

Thank you.  STAY FLUFFY

SHORT TERM 12

Gotta Say, Short Term 12 was a great movie.   It had MAJOR FEELS!   I did not cry but I came close (to crying).

The movie is about life at a facility for teenagers where they live there short term; like 5 weeks up to 3 years.  It is supposed to be a “safe environment” where they can live and work through their problems.   The movie is basically told through the lens of the main character played by Brie Larson.  Her eyes can kill.

If you are the kind of person who feels empathy (and sympathy) for others, then this movie is going to hit you in the heart.   The film just works on lots of different levels.

Also, if you consider yourself to be someone who “likes GOOD movies” then I have to give this movie a DOUBLE RECOMMENDATION because of how good it is.  It is not a comedy but it does have some humor.

As somebody who has worked with kids and teenagers, I can relate.

BIG RECOMMENDATION from DJ ROBO BISCUIT.

The Comedy (Part 2)

The Comedy is not so funny.

It is a movie that makes you think.   The film is a Rick Alverson production.

The movie explores the world through the character Swanson.  He is an aging Brooklyn hipster who has trust fund money.

As the movie progresses he puts himself in more and more risky situations.

The film is trying to explore what life is like when you are a person whose life is a sarcastic life and one that is full of irony.   The questions of “Who Am I?” “What should I do with myself?”

As you watch it, it does make you ponder what life is like for a ThirtyIsh year old Trust Fund kid who does not have ambition to capitalize on their good fortune.

Richard Kelly and Donnie Darko

As a movie, Donnie Darko has a feeling that the main character is moving towards Doom.

You (as the viewer) constantly feel within the film that things are not as they are supposed to be and there is going to be some form of strange occurence

The work is no doubt a Masterpiece by creator Richard Kelly

DJ ROBO BISCUIT does not want to spoil the film

BUT, the film DOES involve a man-size Bunny Rabbit and the film does involve Time Travel

After watching, the movie really stays with you

If you are a Thinker or a Questioner or somebody who wonders “Why?” then I think you will be thoroughly enthralled upon going online and reading a “Donnie Darko explained” Post

Job well done by Director Richard Kelly

Sincerely,

On “The Act of Killing”

The Act of Killing is a strange movie.

It follows a couple of gangsters as they recreate the horrendous crimes they committed.

We follow mainly Anwar (that is his name).  He is a strange character in that he is very proud of who he is.   He often says that “Gangster” comes from the word “Free Men.”

However, Anwar often says he has nightmares.

Based on how he is portrayed, Anwar does not seem to be an intellectual or an academic because he does not seem to be interested in putting words to what it means to commit Genocide and then live a nice life afterwards.

If you are someone who enjoys thinking and has empathy for others I must recommend “The Act of Killing” as you will find the movie to be strange and chilling

The film is entertaining in it’s bizarreness and it definitely sheds some light upon the Country

Lizard People?

Who are the world’s leaders?

Are they humans who have climbed the political ladder?

Or are they Lizard people?

“Reptilians (also called reptoids,[1] reptiloids, saurians, or Draconians) are purported reptilian humanoids that play a prominent role in fantasy, science fiction, ufology, and conspiracy theories.[2][3] The idea of reptilians on Earth was popularized by David Icke, a conspiracy theorist who claims shape-shifting reptilian aliens control Earth by taking on human form and gaining political power to manipulate our societies. Icke has claimed on multiple occasions that many of the world leaders are, or are possessed by, so-called reptilians.” -Wikipedia

The correct term is “Reptilians”

According to David Icke; he was once a Footballer and then a Sports Journalist; he met a psychic and this psychic claimed he was a new Jesus Christ!   He became ridiculed because he was confident that he was the new messiah.  But then he got busy!  He got busy writing books!

“The Biggest Secret: The Book That Will Change The World”

and also: “Human Race Get Off Your Knees: The Lion Sleeps No More”     Those are a couple of his books

David Icke pushes that: 1) the world is run by Reptilians 2) The Moon is a hollowed-out Planetoid 3) It’s all part of an evil conspiracy-Rothschild-Illuminati kind of deal where the Reptilians want to take over the world

According to Vice News, this guy has sold “20 million” copies of his books and he gives lectures to crowds of 6,000 people.  People believe this guy.

You can decide for yourself.   But ask yourself.  Are Humans running the world?  OR is the world being controlled by Lizard people?

PreDestination

Excellent film.

Based on the short story “All You Zombies”   by Robert Heinlein

Heinlein was also the author of STRANGER IN A STRANGE LAND which is an excellent book

PreDestination was a very intriguing movie if you enjoy time travel as well as paradox and you have some patience and are willing to watch a cerebral film.

Put “PreDestination” right on the list with DONNIE DARKO and THE PRESTIGE and possibly TWELVE MONKEYS

movies that are very good and they stay with you

If you appreciate Science Fiction and you like Time Travel and you are a “thinker” then you will enjoy PREDESTINATION
