The Sexiest Woman Alive (Anna)

Anna Kournikova.  The Russian beauty.   She had worldwide fame.

She debuted at the US Open at the age of 15 in 1996.  The world noticed her beauty.

Throughout her tennis career, she was OFTEN more famous for her beauty and good looks as opposed to her tennis game.

Nick Bolletieri said that Anna never developed a “killer weapon.”   Nick has expressed concerns that she turned pro too quickly without developing a firm foundation for her game.

She had a sexy campaign for shock absorber bras: “Only the Ball Should Bounce” (Anna Kournikova just wearing a sports bra.

She became a sex symbol.  The world knew she was good looking and the world also knew she was not that good at winning singles matches.   There is some lingo in poker created by Vince Van Patten for a play called the “Anna Kournikova” to which he want on to say … “Looks great but never wins.”

She DID sign a management deal at age 10 to go and train with Nick Bollettieri.  So she was good as a kid.  Of course, she was not a bad looking kid either.

She was a skilled doubles player and she played well with Martina Hingis.  They called themselves the “Spice Girls” of Tennis.

Kournikova is somewhat infamous (similar to Sharapova) for making more money from her modeling than her tennis.  But that is business.  I am sure she is laughing all the way to the bank!

Many people have said that she was good for Women’s Tennis.   When Anna was playing she definitely boosted the ratings.  Men were happy to watch her on television.

Now Kournikova is a celebrity forever.   She has a nice thing going on with Enrique Iglesias.   She can EASILY make more money if she plays in like World Team Tennis or just agrees to do exhibitions.   She could probably make tons of money just with a “sexy” Instagram or a YouTube channel.    She did some good for Sports Illustrated as well (I think with the Calendar).

LEARNING AFTER SCHOOL (MORE)

The pursuit of lifelong learning is noble indeed.   The world is full of knowledge.

A good place to start is “Will Durant.”  Will Durant wrote “The Story of Civilization.”

Another excellent resource is “School of Life” on Youtube.

Here is an example:

Also, Learning leads to more learning.

For one example:   DJ ROBO BISCUIT wanted to learn more about cults in America.

DJ ROBO BISCUIT has learned about Scientology, Warren Jeffs, The Moonies, and the Westboro Baptist Church.

The author recommends “Going Clear” (it is a book).     Also, as a good satire I also recommend “Zone Theory: 7 Steps to achieve a Perfect Life” (I have not read this book)

When you learn about one topic it will hopefully peak your interest and push you towards learning some more.

“Don’t Let Education Get in the Way of your Learning” -Mark Twain (I think I got that right)

USE THE INTERNET! and USE BOOKS!

Learning After School

Once a smart person finishes school they are out of school.

BUT LEARNING SHOULD NOT STOP THERE!

An intelligent person who seeks wisdom should pursue LIFELONG LEARNING!

DJ Robo Biscuit has been using some of his free time to learn.

Rick Roderick is a beautiful source for philosophy.

SCHOOL OF LIFE is an excellent resource on YouTube for learning.

There is also “EDx” which provides free courses, such as Intro to Computer Science offered by Harvard (THE HARVARD) and it is totally FREE!   (Just like Good Will Hunting, get that free education Dawg!)

ASK QUESTIONS!    WHY IS THIS LIKE THIS?!?!

But DJ ROBO BISCUIT has also noticed that some philosophers seem to die early or commit suicide … … perhaps they analyzed up to the point where life was meaningless (just an idea).

DJ Robo Biscuit also recently learned about “The Frankfurt School” which was popular for big sociological ideas back in the 1960’s with Adorno and Marcuse.

Continue to learn!

Fantastic Movies (2016)(March 8th)

DJ ROBO BISCUIT likes movies.  He enjoys watching them.  He enjoys pondering them.

Spotlight.  Spotlight was a good movie.  It had my attention all the way through.  It was about the “Spotlight team” at the Boston Globe.   They investigated the Catholic Church.  I know it sounds crazy but … there were Priests molesting kids.  And there were A LOT of priests doing it.   Gotta recommend the movie.   SPOTLIGHT!

The End of the Tour.  This is a movie about David Foster Wallace.  He was a genius.   And he committed suicide.   The movie is the interview between David Lipsky and David Foster Wallace.   Obviously, artists become more famous after they die.  Based on DFW’s work, he had genius qualities.  Also, he was not a perfect person by any regards but as a character study the story is very interesting!   I gotta recommend The End of the Tour.

Me and Earl and The Dying Girl.  This film was excellent.  The style was great.  Also, be ready for some FEELS.  It will hit you.  It serves as a good platform for an interracial friendship and the tender relationship between an awkward teen and a Dying Girl.  I really enjoyed the film.  It is definitely not your typical high school movie.  Two Thumbs up (and as a tribute to Tim Heidecker “I gotta give it 5 Bags of Popcorn.”)

The Talented Mr. Ripley.   Fascinating but a little bit sickening.  The film was definitely interesting.   I find it interesting due to the idea of the relationships and also, the movie is possible because the players within the film are all part of the wealthy elite.

Honorable Mention:

Adult World.  The movie has charm.  I enjoyed the soundtrack.  I liked the way this film FELT.  I have a little crush on Emma Roberts.  Definitely a great film for recent college grads, I think the film brings value in that way.

Things that are Awesome (March 7th)(Mon)

DJ ROBO BISCUIT letting the people know things that are awesome.

Thing number one: Star Wars Clone Wars (Genndy Tartakovsky) General Grievous vs Jedi (HIGH level of awesome on this one.  Completely over the top fight with coolness to the Max!)

Thing number two: Rick and Morty.  The show is a work of brilliance.  If you appreciate science fiction then this is a fantastic show!

Thing number three: Fabrice Santoro.  Santoro was a professional tennis player and people called him “The Magician.”  He had a two-handed forehand slice and he would cut players to death.  Marat Safin said that seeing your name in the draw next to his was like being told “you were about to die.”

Thing number four:  Minato vs Tobi.  The Fourth Hokage faces off against the Masked Man in a fast and epic fight.  The battle truly pays respect to the speed of Ninja fights (and of course, to The Yellow Flash)

Thing number five: David Foster Wallace.  DFW is awesome.  A modern writer who was a genius of his craft.  Truly sad that he lost his life to depression (suicide).  Check out “Infinite Jest” or his movie “The End of the Tour.”

Thing number six: Noodle World by DJ ROBO BISCUIT.  It is a rising star and beautiful display of satire.
